Sorry for the late post....forgot what I was doing.
Today we started our book group books. Our choices were:
Savvy, The Indian in the Cupboard, My Side of the Mountain, Peter and the Star Catchers, Frindle and I may have forgotten one, but I think that's all of them.
The idea was, choose a book you hadn't read before from these really great award winning books.
We also worked to come up with 10 great vocabulary terms associated with our leader. Later we completed a content driven organizer for our project on leadership and legacy.
Speaking of that project, the exhibit will be on Friday January 23rd from 8:30 to 9:30 in the library. Parents are welcome. It will be informal, but a lot of great projects to see.
Homework today:
LA: Write about your new book. Why did you choose it? What are you looking forward to?
Read for 30 minutes
Math: shoot, I forgot the pages...there was something about 1/10 and 1/5 maybe -check your assignment book.
Remember, Khan and skill sheet due Thursday
